Places to explore by Road / Cab
In South Andaman there are five prime tourist hubs are well connected by motored roads. Port Blair, Baratang, Ragat, Mayabunder, Diglipur lined as per the map one after another. Covering a stretch of around 300 kilometres from Port Blair to the north most point (Diglipur) alongside with rest of the locations where in between while doing to Diglipur.
Trip to Baratang Island
From Port Blair, the capital city where you will arrive, you may take a private AC cab and proceed to Baratang. It is the nicest and most convenient method. You will be driven over the ATR (Andaman Trunk Road) in a group, with one short vehicle ferry connection. It will take almost 3 hours in total for each side.
From the Baratang Jetty, you have to take a jeep to places like Mud Volcano. Renting taxis are most cost effective and handy option. Please keep in mind that there is no scooter or bike rentals or any auto rikshaws on the site.
Moving forward to Rangat
While going to Rangat, you may take a taxi/cab from Port Blair. You don’t have to worry about the returning option because the driver will always with you. And you also don’t have to utilise public transportation to get in and out of your hotel or to explore the beautiful attractions that are accessible by road. And at last Mayabunder and Diglipur

The same goes with the Neil Island you can reserve a car to move around the Neil Island. But one thing is to keep in mind that no islands offer car rental services so it is advised to keep track beforehand. Within havelock and neil islands do not reserve a cab to cover all the locations, just try to book the cab at the time of visit or going from one point to another.

Chidiatapu is 30 KM far from the main city; this place is quite famous for its sunset view and bird watching. Trip includes personal AC Vehicle, entry tickets and pickup and drop to respective hotels.

- No self driving cab/car service is generally offered in Andaman Islands. It may cost you more for a rental vehicle in Andaman.
- Custom cabs for the whole lined up locations are not advisable due to the high-end prices.
